Welcome to the Murmuration!

My name is Wouter de Jong and I am an ESL teacher in the Netherlands teaching CEFR level A2-C1 English at a Dutch grammar school. I love creating educational content for my students and have decided to share more material to a wider audience. I will mainly focus on B2-C1 material.

Every Tuesday, starting on June 4th, there will be a weekly newsletter with exercises on vocabulary, use of English, speaking, and listening. These weekly newsletters will be freely available for a month. They have links to pdf-files, which can be downloaded and printed. The content will restart annually.

The material can be used by both teachers and learners. I have high-school graduates, homeschoolers, and teachers looking for extra material in mind. It should be considered extra-curricular. I use a minimal look and feel to keep everything printer friendly. Some material is created with the help of ChatGPT, though not all (listening and the presentation classes, for example, were not made by AI).

I have some interesting ideas for the future. I love literature and find grammar interesting. I also have some ideas on (creative) writing. However, I want to familiarize myself first with Substack and Patreon. I also want to see how well I can keep this up next to my job as an ESL teacher.

Paid subscriptions will help me to grow though don’t feel obliged to have one. If you have any ideas, questions, or suggestions, please feel free to share them.
